I shot a hog just last week at about 125yds. 30.06, perfect broadside, in one ear and out the other. The hog barley even kicked a leg.

Cool, them head shots are great on hogs if ya wanna drop em dead in their tracks. Congrats on your pig and on the great shot you made man.Hope you have a great hunting season!

I was wondering if a .204 (55gr) should be used on Hog? Thanks

    Hey Mike,
I have no doubt that a .204 will kill hogs, but I personally would opt to use something a little bigger. It all really depends on the situation. If your hunting from a blind over a baited area where you can get a good rest and place your shot, then you will probably be ok on small hogs, and even larger ones if you put it right behind the ear. But if your on the ground stalking them where you could face a charging boar, or a 200 plus# sow with pigs then you will be better off with something that has a little more stopping power. Good luck, and if you score on a hog with the .204 let me know, I would like to hear how it performed.
